If Lavender is a warm embrace, then Peppermint is like a crisp, refreshing breeze that can instantly blow away the fog in your mind.
🧚♀️Its Origin
Peppermint has a very long history. As early as ancient Egyptian and Roman times, people already knew how to use it to freshen their breath and aid digestion. Peppermint is actually a natural hybrid of Watermint and Spearmint. It is full of resilient vitality—as long as there is soil and water, it brings an overflowing, crisp fragrance.
🧚♀️Its Healing Power
The core strength of Peppermint lies in its ability to "awaken" and "unblock." When you feel lightheaded, sleepy in the afternoon, or when your thoughts are stuck and you feel agitated, the penetrating, cooling aroma of Peppermint can instantly open up your senses. It clears your mind and helps you regain your focus and vitality.
🧚♀️Home Practical Tip (Soothing Head Tension & Cooling Down)
Faced with the pressure of work or study, we often feel tension in our heads or even a dull ache; or we might feel irritable in hot weather. At these times, you can take 1 drop of Peppermint essential oil (for those with sensitive skin, it is recommended to blend it with a little carrier oil) and use your fingertips to gently massage it onto your scalp, temples, behind your ears, and the back of your neck and even hands. Gentle Reminder: Peppermint is very cooling, so please be sure to avoid the eye area when applying!
⭐️Today's Little Practice
Today's practice won't be before bedtime, but rather at the moment when you feel you need energy the most (such as right after waking up, or during that mid-afternoon slump).
1/Take a drop of Peppermint essential oil and place it in your palm. Gently rub your hands together, cup them over your mouth and nose, inhale deeply, and then exhale slowly. Repeat this three times.
2/A drop of peppermint in a jar of water , else a toothpick of peppermint in a cup of warm water. Drink and Feel that cool stream of air enter your body through your respiratory tract, instantly awakening every cell.
After taking deep breaths, silently tell yourself:
"I am ready to welcome the freshness and vitality of today."
Then, simply rub the remaining essential oil from your palms onto the back of your neck to feel that refreshing coolness.
