Day 30|The Power of Gratitude
Today is Day 30.
After 30 days of sharing, I suddenly felt like stopping for a moment and sincerely saying one thing:
Thank you.
Many times, we reach for essential oils because we need something. When we cannot sleep, we hope they help us relax; when we feel stressed, we look for a sense of calm; when we feel lost, we hope a comforting aroma can help us slow down and become still.
We often ask: “What can this essential oil do for me?”
But one day, a thought came to me: Are we always asking something from plants, yet rarely truly thanking them?
A single drop of essential oil does not come to us easily. Behind it are sunlight, rain, soil, and time. Someone grows the plants, cares for them, harvests them, and distils them—until finally, this precious drop of aroma reaches our hands.
And essential oils are not the only thing I am grateful for. I am also deeply grateful for the nutrition and wellness support that has accompanied us along the way, especially NingXia Red. Over the years, it has been part of my journey and the journey of many friends around me, accompanying us through countless ups and downs and becoming a familiar part of our daily lives.
That is why I now love using essential oils with gratitude, and I also try to appreciate the nourishment and care I give my body each day.
Does gratitude make them more effective? Or is it because, when I truly smell, truly drink, and truly become present, I begin to realise that so many things in life should never be taken for granted?
Maybe it is the first. Maybe it is the second. Or perhaps…
The two were never truly separate.
❤️ This is what I have come to believe more and more—the power of gratitude.
Gratitude may not immediately change what happens to us, but it can slowly change the way we see what happens to us.
More than ten years ago, I started as a complete beginner who knew almost nothing. I began practising at home, little by little, applying what I learned with my children, siblings, and parents, and then gradually helping friends around me.
Along the way, there were moments when I felt lost, disappointed, and unappreciated. There were both sweat and tears. If I didn’t know, I learned; if I didn’t understand, I asked; if I fell, I stood up again. Step by step, I slowly made my way to where I am today.
Looking back now, I would never claim to be highly successful, nor do I believe I came this far entirely on my own. In fact, the further I go, the more grateful I become—grateful for those who helped me, walked beside me, and shared part of this journey with me.
And I have come to understand something more deeply:
We may have met because of a bottle of essential oil or a shared interest in health, but perhaps we were never meant to meet only for products.
Some people learn how to care for their families better; some begin to understand their own emotions; some may have started simply wanting to solve a problem, only to discover that what they have learned can also become a way to help someone else.
Over time, I have come to believe that what allows a group of people to walk far together is never only about what they can gain in the moment.
It is whether we gradually build a culture of appreciating one another, learning together, sharing openly, and helping sincerely; whether we believe that what we do can bring real value to our families and to others; and whether we still carry a belief that every little thing we learn with sincerity, and every little act of kindness we offer, may one day become a source of warmth in someone else’s life.
Perhaps this is why I treasure every encounter more and more.
To have the opportunity to discover essential oils, to become more mindful of nutrition and wellness, to step into the world of aromatherapy, and to meet people who were once complete strangers… none of these encounters should ever be taken for granted.
❤️ May we do everything with gratitude and truly enjoy the present moment.
And as we continue to grow, may we remember to look back at those who once helped us, never forgetting the kindness we received along the way, nor the original intention of wanting to make life a little better for ourselves and for those around us.
I increasingly believe:
Those who come only for利益 ( personal gain) may not stay for long; culture creates belonging and warmth; value gives meaning to the journey; and belief is what allows us to walk further together.
“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is ‘thank you,’ it will be enough.”
